Wang Lang market feeds Siriraj Hospital's ten thousand students and nurses, which is why it might be the best cheap-eating quarter in Bangkok — southern curries, boat noodles and desserts in fierce competition. Behind it, Khlong Bangkok Noi keeps the old water-city alive: royal barges in their shed, teak houses, ferry crossings to the Grand Palace side in four minutes. Dense, real and absurdly underpriced for the location.
