The Bangkok Atlas guide
Silom & Bang Rak
สีลม–บางรัก — Money by day, mischief by night

Office towers by day; rooftop bars and the Patpong night market after dark, with Lumphini Park at the top.
Silom wears two faces without apology: the banking towers and lawyer lunches of Thailand's original CBD, then Patpong's night market, Soi 4's drag stages and the LGBTQ+ strip once the sun drops. Bang Rak below it is the eating district — a century of shophouse kitchens in the sois off Charoen Krung (the riverfront strip itself now stands as its own neighborhood). Mahanakhon's pixelated tower watches over all of it.
