★★Worth it·Floating market
Khlong Lat Mayom
ตลาดน้ำคลองลัดมะยม
The floating market locals actually eat at — boat noodles by the khlong, no tour buses, weekends only. The gentle Thonburi morning.
The most food-focused of the city's floating markets — boats grilling river prawns, coconut pancakes, and shaded tables along the canal, twenty minutes past Thonburi. Weekends only; go at eleven, before the tour vans.

Timing it right
- Market hours vary enormously — some are weekend-only, some are night-only, and a few are both.
- Cash still rules the small stalls; bring small notes.
- Go early or late. The middle of the day is the hottest and most crowded part of any Bangkok market.
