Siam Square
สยามสแควร์
The pedestrianized grid itself — pop-up stages, student fashion stalls and idol events. Thai youth culture's ground zero, framed by the malls the atlas already knows.
Chulalongkorn University owns every brick and reinvents the grid each decade — the current one belongs to pop-up culture: idol stages outside Siam Scape, TikTok crews in the walk streets, student designers testing one-rail shops. Friday evening is peak; the side sois keep the old tutoring-school soul.

Checked 10 Oct 2026 against pmcu.co.th, openstreetmap.org. Things change: closures for royal ceremonies and holidays are common.
Timing it right
- Market hours vary enormously — some are weekend-only, some are night-only, and a few are both.
- Cash still rules the small stalls; bring small notes.
- Go early or late. The middle of the day is the hottest and most crowded part of any Bangkok market.
Check which days and hours this one actually trades when you arrive — we have no verified official site for this one.
