Riding the metro
- From about 05:30 on weekdays (06:00 at weekends) to around 23:30: every 5 minutes at rush hour, up to 10 off-peak.
- Bags go through a quick security check at the entrance — it's routine and takes seconds.
- On the Blue and Purple lines, tap a contactless Visa, Mastercard or UnionPay credit card at the gate, in and out with the same card; or buy a token from the machines. Foreign debit cards and phone wallets may not work.
- A BTS ticket is not an MRT ticket — different operators, separate fares, even where the platforms touch.
