Chatuchak Weekend Market
ตลาดนัดจตุจักร
Thousands of stalls — the weekend universe.
Thousands of stalls, two dozen-odd sections, one weekend — one of the world's largest weekend markets and a city in itself. Vintage denim, orchids, ceramics, secondhand books, coconut ice cream in the crush. Go early (nine to eleven) before the heat, learn the clock-tower bearings, and surrender the afternoon.

Timing it right
- Market hours vary enormously — some are weekend-only, some are night-only, and a few are both.
- Cash still rules the small stalls; bring small notes.
- Go early or late. The middle of the day is the hottest and most crowded part of any Bangkok market.
