Or Tor Kor Market
ตลาด อ.ต.ก.
Thailand's best produce under one polished roof.
The connoisseur's market — a government-run hall of the country's benchmark produce, where durian is graded like wine and the mangoes cost double and are worth triple. The cooked-food section at the back is one of the city's great cheap lunches. It sits directly across from Chatuchak; do both, but bring a cooler bag for this one.

Timing it right
- Market hours vary enormously — some are weekend-only, some are night-only, and a few are both.
- Cash still rules the small stalls; bring small notes.
- Go early or late. The middle of the day is the hottest and most crowded part of any Bangkok market.
