★★Worth it·Airport Rail terminus
Phaya Thai Station
สถานีพญาไท
The city end of the Airport Rail Link and its only BTS interchange — the busiest rail funnel between Suvarnabhumi and town. Land, ride, change once.
The city end of the Airport Rail Link and its only BTS interchange — which makes this unglamorous elevated station the busiest arrival funnel in Bangkok. Land at Suvarnabhumi, ride 26 minutes, change once at Phaya Thai, and the whole BTS network is yours. Going to the airport: with the current fleet shortage, trains run about every 15 minutes or worse, so allow an hour door to gate.

Using it
- Rail and boat services run to headways rather than published minute-by-minute timetables; the atlas quotes typical times, never a schedule.
- Stored-value cards work within a single operator, not across all of them.
