★★Worth it·City museum
Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall
นิทรรศน์รัตนโกสินทร์
The purpose-built interactive introduction to the old city — do it first and every temple after makes more sense. The balcony has the Loha Prasat view.
Two hours of multimedia theatre walk you through the old city's palaces, rituals and crafts — rooms you physically walk into, not placards. It's the single best primer before you face the Grand Palace crowds, and the rooftop at the end frames the Golden Mount perfectly.
