Saranrom Park
สวนสราญรมย์
Old royal garden beside the palace walls.
The old palace garden opposite Wat Pho's back wall — Victorian bandstand, lotus ponds, monitor lizards. The quietest bench in the royal quarter, steps from the crowds.

Using the park
- Bangkok's public parks generally run about 04:30 to 21:00 — the city exercises before the heat and after it.
- Midday is punishing from March to May; dawn and the hour before dusk are what these spaces are for.
- Water monitors are residents, not an emergency. Give them room and they'll ignore you.
