Before you go
- If someone near the Giant Swing says a temple is closed today, walk on: all four stops open daily.
- The Golden Mount summit is being restored and may be partly closed or under scaffolding.
- Leave the summit in lightning: the stairs are slippery when wet.
Plan B
- Rain: Shelter in Wat Suthat's cloisters and the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall (Tue–Sun).
- Summit closed: Watch sunset from Santichaiprakan Park by the river, a short taxi away.
- Summer evenings (May–Aug): You have about an hour spare: add the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall.
