★★Worth it·Historic station
Hua Lamphong
สถานีหัวลำโพง
The grand 1916 rail hall — still running local and Eastern-line trains, and one of the city's great interiors.
The 1916 neoclassical rail hall that was Bangkok's front door for a century. Most long-distance trains moved north in 2023, leaving local and Eastern-line trains, the weekend excursion and one of the city's great interiors — half terminus, half museum of itself. Worth a detour on any Chinatown day.

Using it
- Rail and boat services run to headways rather than published minute-by-minute timetables; the atlas quotes typical times, never a schedule.
- Stored-value cards work within a single operator, not across all of them.
Check fares, first and last service, and ticket types when you arrive — we have no verified official site for this one.
